Elisabeth Parry

Elisabeth Parry is a flutist, teacher, author and course director with an international career spanning performance, education and publishing. She performs as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player in the UK and internationally and is a frequent guest artist at festivals in Europe and further afield.

Alongside her performing career, Elisabeth directs an extensive programme of courses for adult flutists. Through Flutes Inspired, she runs residential flute courses in France and the UK, as well as innovative online classes for intermediate and advanced players around the world. Her approach combines serious musical study with an emphasis on confidence, communication and progress.

Elisabeth is also the founder of Aurea Capra Editions, an independent publisher specialising in imaginative and practical flute repertoire designed to develop technique and musicianship. She has published around 50 titles, including music for flute and piano, two flutes, and alto flute, and the Flutes in Faith collection. She is the author of NFA pedagogy prize-winning publication, Micro Etudes for Flute. Elisabeth’s publications are distributed internationally as well as in digital editions.

Elisabeth Parry’s writing and educational work also reach the international flute community through her Flutes Inspired newsletter, where she writes about flute playing, repertoire, technique and musical development, as well as providing free resources

Elisabeth plays custom silver and gold Powell flutes and has been a Powell Artist since 2017.
